Corporate Plan 2007-10

VisitScotland' s Corporate Plan, for 2007-10 outlined its strategic priorities.

The Tourism Framework for Change (TFFC) published by the Scottish Executive in 2005 challenged the tourism industry to the ambition to grow tourism revenues in Scotland by 50% by 2015.

VisitScotland’s Corporate Plan outlined our contribution to the growth agenda by articulating how we aligned our work to support the industry in achieving this ambition.

The Plan also outlined our aspiration to manage our operations in a sustainable way, balancing the economic benefits of our actions against any environmental and social impacts and continually striving to combine business efficiency with environmental benefits.

The production of the our corporate plan was, for the first time subject to a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) in line with the Environmental Assessment Act (Scotland) 2005

The overall aim of SEA is to provide for a high level of protection of the environment and to contribute to the integration of environmental consideration into the preparation and adoption of plans and programmes with a view to promoting sustainable development.

The issues raised during the SEA process and the associated consultation are explained in the detailed SEA Adoption Statement:
