VisitScotland’s view, as a national tourism body, is increasingly being sought on a range of developments that are either directly tourism related or, because of their size and scale, may impact upon tourism in Scotland.

In line with our emphasis that ‘Tourism is Everyone’s Business’ and our underlying role of providing strategic leadership to the industry, this policy section will therefore provide the following information: position statements on issues affecting - or potentially affecting - tourism nationally, such as Windfarms and Bed Tax; VisitScotland’s responses to official consultations; and VisitScotland’s submissions to official parliamentary inquiries on subjects relating to tourism.
