Day one helps you guide visitors to wildlife and natural heritage resources in your local area, and tells you how to access up-to-date information from local and national resources.
Day two gives participants the opportunity to experience the big outdoors with a wildlife expert.

Ancestral Tourism Training
Developed to recognise the increasing number of ‘ancestral tourists’ coming to Scotland to trace their ancestors, this one-day course has been developed for people working in the ‘frontline’ of tourism, providing information to visitors to make their stay more enjoyable.

It gives participants an introduction to Scotland’s ancestral tourism initiative and equips them with the skills and knowledge to provide advice and assistance to ancestral tourists locally.

Sailing and Watersports Welcome
Sailing and Watersports Welcome has been developed to recognise this growing market and to ensure that all marine leisure and tourism operators are maximising the potential benefits to their business.  At the same time meeting the needs of the sailing and watersports visitors, through the provision of quality service and information.  

This one day workshop is for people working within the marine leisure sector, such as marina and watersports staff, people in frontline tourism businesses such as accommodation establishments, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions located near to areas of sailing and watersports activity.

Children Welcome
Some tourism businesses welcome children and others attract children by accident or design, and sometimes the parents wish they hadn’t taken them in the first place!  This is tomorrow’s market today and doing it well can be profitable.

This one day workshop is aimed at all tourism businesses which accept children from B&Bsand hotels to visitor attractions and restaurants, and complements the VisitScotland’s Children Welcome Scheme.

Anglers Welcome
Visitors who enjoy fishing like to be made to feel welcome - they appreciate having storage boxes for rods; a daily weather forecast; freezer facility for bait or catch; facilities for gutting or preparing catch, or facilities for washing fishing tackle. Equally important is the local knowledge of where to fish.

We need to ensure that the hospitality encountered by our visiting anglers meets, or preferably exceeds, their expectations.

This one day workshop is for frontline tourism operators, in particular accommodation providers, keen to attract visiting Anglers.  The workshop complements the QA Anglers Welcome Scheme.
