Borders ATP

The Scottish Borders Area Tourism strategy and action plan has been developed based on independent research and with wide industry consultation. It is entitled “Connect Thinking” and highlights the importance of partnership working at every opportunity to achieve a minimum of 50% growth in line with the national strategy targets.

The main objectives are:

  • To continue to monitor consumer needs & changes in tourism/travel buying & behaviour in order to drive innovation & synergy in the Scottish Borders tourism industry
  • To drive product and service quality in tourism provision
  • Providing the right information to the customer at the right time with the right media
  • Marketing the Scottish Borders through building successful brands
  • To progress with developing all - year tourism, reducing seasonality among all tourism providers

Tourism activity, based on the strategy and action plan, is regularly monitored by the Area Tourism Partnership. Anyone wishing to find out more should e-mail: sb.tourismpartnership@visitscotland.com
