Partnership Working

Our Partners

VisitScotland is funded by The Scottish Goverment. The two other main public agencies involved in Scottish tourism, Scottish Enterprise and Highlands & Islands Enterprise, are funded through the Scottish Executive's Department of Enterprise and Lifelong Learning.

Here are the key partners who work with VisitScotland:

visitscotland.com
visitscotland.com is Scotland’s National Booking and Information Service. Their website and contact centre facility is seen as the easiest route for consumers looking to buy Scottish tourism products such as short break packages, city breaks and so on.

EventScotland
EventScotland is a joint initiative VisitScotland has with the Scottish Executive. It is designed to help develop and co-ordinate events, contributing to the dual aims of creating a must-visit destination and gaining economic growth for Scotland; central to the work of VisitScotland.

Pride & Passion
Pride & Passion give their time and energy to help drive things forward on behalf of the tourism industry. They are drawn from a spectrum of business people to make sure all angles and obstacles are covered. Support is received from the private sector and funding comes from VisitScotland, Scottish Enterprise, Highland and Islands Enterprise and the European Social Fund.

Scottish Enterprise
Scottish Enterprise is Scotland's main economic development agency, funded by the Scottish Executive. Their mission is to help the people and businesses of Scotland succeed. In doing so, they aim to build a world-class economy.

Highlands & Islands Enterprise
The Highlands and Islands of Scotland has around 19,000 businesses, more than 440,000 individuals with skills and potential of their own - and more than 8,000 voluntary and community groups. The task of the Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) network is to unlock that potential and help create a strong, diverse and sustainable economy.

VisitBritain
VisitBritain has 27 offices and operates the British Visitor Centre in central London. They work closely with the national tourist boards of Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales to promote an attractive image of Britain as a whole.

Convention of Scottish Local Authorities
COSLA, the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, is the representative voice of Scottish local government and also acts as the employers’ association on behalf of all Scottish councils.

Other Tourism Agencies
These range from the Forestry Commission to Historic Scotland.
