BTS is an association of service suppliers to the Business Tourism Market for Scotland - a forum in which such suppliers can influence the strategy to be adopted by those charged with ensuring that Scotland is well placed in the drive to attract Business Tourism in the face of increasing competition.

BTS''s main objectives are:

• Developing strategic partnerships with all key industry bodies.
• Supporting VisitScotland/SCB in promoting Scotland in relevant markets.
• Liaising with VisitScotland/SCB on matters relating to quality assurance and training.
• Holding an annual seminar to allow free and wide ranging discussion on topics of current interest.

In addition, BTS was the driving force behind the setting up of the Scottish Convention Bureau (the Chairman has a seat on the SCB Liaison Group). It also assisted in the creation of a Business Tourism Workshop organised by the SCB as part of the annual Scotland''s Travel Fair.

BTS is recognised as one of the main voices of Scotland''s Business Tourism sector and is a member of the Scottish Tourism Forum.
